QUALIFICATION PRINCIPLES
Full-time first-cycle studies in Finance last 6 semesters (3 years).
Admission to full-time first-cycle studies is by major. The choice of the field of study made during recruitment is binding.
Qualification is conducted on the basis of results obtained in two qualifying subjects:
- geography, physics, history, or computer science (Computer Science or Information Technology in a Global Society - for International Baccalaureate and European Baccalaureate), and, for candidates who did not complete secondary school in Poland, economic subjects (e.g. finance, accounting, economics, entrepreneurship and management) of the candidate's choice, and
- mathematics*.
*In the case of candidates taking the entrance examination in mathematics, the obtained result will be included in the ranking points.

The University reserves the right not to open a particular course of study if the number of candidates for that course is less than 20. Candidates for this field of study are offered admission to another field of study conducted in English, and if there is no interest, the recruitment fee is refunded.

RECRUITMENT STAGES
- In the first stage of recruitment, candidates apply online. Personal data and recruitment data are entered on the form. The online application is a compulsory part of the recruitment process. In the first stage of recruitment, candidates also pay a recruitment fee.
After the closing date for applications, the Recruitment Committees announce ranking lists and point limits designating groups of candidates qualified to submit documents.
- In the second stage of recruitment, candidates submit the required documents. If the documentation submitted by a candidate is complete, that candidate is admitted to the degree programme.
ADMISSIONS DEADLINES
Electronic enrolment for full-time first degree programmes taught in English will begin from 10 April.
Deadlines for electronic applications:
- until 15 July.
Deadline for payment of the recruitment fee (date of receipt into the designated bank account of PUEB):
- until 15 July.
- 21-22 July.
Announcement of ranking lists:
- on 24 July (late afternoon).
Deadline for submitting documents by qualified candidates:
- on 30 July.

FEES
The recruitment fee for one application is 85 PLN*.
Payment details are visible in the "Payments" tab after submitting an application for the selected field.
The deadline for paying the recruitment fee is the date on which the fee must be credited to the designated bank account.
NOTE!
The university does not refund the recruitment fee.
Applications without the recruitment fee are not considered.
*Foreigners applying for admission to first‑cycle studies on the basis of a document issued abroad, which is not a document confirming the right to apply for admission to studies as mentioned in Art. 326a(1) of the Law on Higher Education and Science, and for whom it is necessary to conduct entrance examinations at the Poznań University of Economics and Business referred to in Art. 70(5b)(3a), the recruitment fee amounts to 100 PLN.

Tuition fee
Studies taught in English are paid for equally by all students!
Tuition fees for first-cycle studies in English (years I - III) can be paid in two forms:
- one-time payment per semester in the amount of 6750* PLN
- in 5 monthly installments of 1390 PLN.

For candidates who:
- have taken the Matura exam (the "new Matura" admission document, a universally accepted exam from 2005 to the present) - the percentage points from the written (external) Matura exam in selected subjects, as recorded on the Matura certificate, are taken into account in the admission process;
- have taken the International Baccalaureate exam (the "International Baccalaureate" admission document) - the results obtained on the IB exam in selected subjects, as recorded on the provisional IB Matura certificate and repeated on the IB diploma, are taken into account in the admission process;
- have completed high school abroad (the "foreign certificate" admission document, does not apply to candidates from Belarus and Ukraine) - the results in the qualifying subjects for the PUEB, as recorded on the document serving as the basis for admission to studies (a diploma/certificate of completion of a secondary school abroad, entitling one to admission to studies in the country of issue), are taken into account in the admission process.
Candidates from Belarus and Ukraine select the Belarusian school-leaving certificate or the Ukrainian school-leaving certificate as the basis for admission. Candidates from Belarus who have taken CT/CE exams and hold valid certificates, and candidates from Ukraine who have taken ZNO/MNT exams, may have their exam results taken into account in the admissions process for first-cycle studies. To do this, in the "Education" tab, in the section concerning secondary education, add the appropriate document, in addition to the document used for admission.
Autopresentation
A video recording of the candidate speaking in English should last a maximum of 2 minutes. In the video, you may address some of the following topics:
– your greatest academic achievement;
– why you want to study at PUEB/in Poznań/in Poland;
– your plans after graduating from PUEB;
– hobbies you enjoy in your free time;
– your professional/voluntary experience.
You may also discuss other topics relevant to your application.
Candidates who completed secondary school abroad
Certificates issued abroad must be legalized or apostilled in the embassy or another responsible institution in the country of issue.
FOREIGN CANDIDATES
Entrance examination in mathematics
Candidates who:
– do not have a certificate or other document issued by a school operating within the education system of an EU Member State, an OECD Member State, or an EFTA Member State – parties to the EEA Agreement, entitling them to apply for first‑cycle and long‑cycle studies in those states,
– do not have an International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate diploma,
– do not have a certificate or other document issued by a school operating within the education system of a country with which Poland has signed a bilateral agreement on mutual recognition of education (https://www.gov.pl/web/edukacja/umowy-dwustronne),
and who are applying for admission to first‑cycle studies, must take the entrance examination in mathematics.
The entrance exam will be held online on 21–22 July 2026.
Candidates registered for studies will be notified through IRK about the exam date and the rules for taking the exam on the Moodle platform.
The required exam content is defined in the core curriculum for Mathematics at the basic level in upper secondary school [DOWNLOAD].
Recognition of foreign certificates and diplomas by NAWA
In addition, candidates qualified for admission who possess a document other than:
– a certificate or other document issued by a school operating within the education system of an EU, OECD or EFTA Member State entitling them to apply for first‑cycle or long‑cycle Master’s studies in those states,
– an International or European Baccalaureate diploma,
– a certificate or other document issued by a school operating within the education system of a state with which Poland has signed a bilateral agreement on mutual recognition of education (https://www.gov.pl/web/edukacja/umowy-dwustronne),
are required to submit, along with the complete set of documents, a written statement issued by the Director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) confirming the right to apply for admission to studies.

In addition, the following are also accepted:
- a certificate of completion of a preparatory course for studies referred to in Article 60, paragraph 4, of the Act of December 12, 2013, lasting no less than 9 months, certifying knowledge of a given foreign language in four language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing, at a language proficiency level of B2, C1, or C2;
- a diploma of completion of a first-cycle, second-cycle, or long-cycle master's degree program in philology in a given foreign language or applied linguistics, issued by a university operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland or a foreign university, along with a diploma supplement or
- a certificate confirming that the number of hours of instruction in that foreign language was at least 500; a diploma of completion of first-cycle, second-cycle, or long-cycle master's studies issued by a higher education institution operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland or a foreign university, containing information about the language of instruction for the studies, and if the diploma does not contain such information, additionally a diploma supplement or a certificate containing information about the language of instruction for the studies;
- an International Baccalaureate Diploma – for the primary language;
- a European Baccalaureate Diploma – for the first (L1) or second (L2) language;
- a certificate of acquisition of the qualifications to practice as a sworn translator of a given foreign language issued by the Minister of Justice, referred to in Article 5, Section 2 of the Act of 25 November 2004 on the profession of sworn translator, or a certificate confirming entry on the list of sworn translators of a given foreign language.
A European Union citizens who does not possess the above-mentioned certificate may take the PUEB placement exam during the recruitment process.
Candidates who do not have the above-mentioned document during the enrolment process are requested to submit it for approval to the Admissions Team immediately after receiving it via the IRK inquiry form.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Qualified candidates must submit the following documents to the university:
– application form (according to the established template),
– the original or a certified copy of the secondary‑school leaving certificate or certificate plus matura exam results, or the original IB/EB diploma, or the original diploma/certificate of completion of secondary school abroad with apostille or legalization (for inspection); the university will prepare a certified copy and return the original; in the case of foreigners mentioned in Art. 93a of the Education System Act
– a written statement from the NAWA Director confirming eligibility to apply for studies in Poland,
– confirmation of IB/EB exam points (for candidates taking IB in the same year),
– CT, CE, EGE, NMT, ZNO exam certificate (if applicable),
– personal questionnaire with candidate's photo,
– document confirming name change (if applicable),
– certificate from the provincial superintendent or a NAWA statement confirming equivalence of the certificate to the Polish secondary‑school certificate,
– eligibility statement - certificate confirming the right to undertake studies in the country of issue (if not specified on the document),
– certified translation into Polish (if the document is in a language other than Polish or English),
– proof of payment of the recruitment fee,
– document confirming English language proficiency at B2 level (according to the ministerial regulation). European Union citizens who do not possess the required English certificate may take an English exam at PUEB.
Foreigners must additionally submit:
– a copy of health insurance,
– a copy of a document entitling them to free‑of‑charge education in English (if applicable),
– certificate of Polish origin (if declared).
Document submission
Documents are accepted only from candidates on the ranking lists, qualified for the second stage.
Announcement of ranking lists: 24 July 2026.
Deadline for document submittion: 30 July 2026.
Documents in a white folder are accepted at the International Cooperation Office.
Candidates who obtained enough points and submitted all required documents are admitted.
